About

No ‘experts’ here. Rather, we act as guides as we journey the metacrisis together.

In our work, we stand on the shoulders of individual and collective giants.

We pay respect to their talent, and their generosity in sharing their wisdom.

We are influenced by the work of Bayo Akomolafe, Vanessa Andreotti, Nate Hagens, Donella Meadows, Jonathan Rowson, Carol Sanford, Daniel Schmactenberger, Tyson Yunkaporta, and others.

We also draw on the overlapping worlds of systems and complexity theory, regeneration and deep ecology, mindfulness and behavioural science.

We do not consider ourselves ‘teachers’ or ‘coaches’. Instead, we encourage participation and co-creation, collectively responding to emerging dynamics as both conduits and catalysts. We give life to a space for rich, respectful and optimistic sharing, as we journey through the metacrisis together.

Joe Redston

Joe’s career has included drumming, beach soccer, leadership development, and burnout. He has written two books, studied kung fu, likes yoga and running up mountains [slowly], and was a Guinness World Record holder [for a few weeks].

None of that provided any ‘answers’.

Rather, he has come to an awareness that some combination of connection, kindness and uncertainty might be what truly matters.

Laurent de Schoutheete

Laurent is a human geographer whose journey has shown him the intrinsic complexity and beauty of our world.

His core passion – and work – is enabling the development of life-supportive and equitable human societies, through designing and evaluating systemic reform initiatives.

His failures and successes have convinced him that the path of action in our current predicament is necessarily one that considers the long arc of human history; sees systems and potentials; values our many ways of knowing; and encourages co-evolution with the web of life.
